Georges Yammine was born in Lebanon at the end of the seventies. He received his first violin lessons at the conservatory in Beirut and six years later, in 1999, he moved to Germany to join the class of Prof. Friedemann Eichhorn at the 'Franz Liszt" Hochschule für Musik in Weimar.
After graduating, he continued his studies with his mentor Mathis Fischer in Berlin and Prof. David Riviere in Paris.
Since 1999 he has been a member of the West Eastern Divan Orchestra conducted by Maestro Daniel Barenboim.
During a multitude of tours he discovered photography to be a second way of expressing himself, which enabled him to capture musical connections visually and to experiment with movement and form.
The pictorial book "Spark of Hope", which was published in 2014 by corso publisher, reflects this phase.
Georges Yammine has been a member of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra since 2008 and works internationally as a freelance photographer. His works have been shown in numerous international galleries in Europe, Asia and USA.
